FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW YORK, NY - April 4, 2011 - Sheba Productions is excited to announce Actor JD Williams from the hit HBO shows "Oz" and "The Wire" is now set to join the cast of the musical stage play production of "I Know I'm Somebody!" by Sheba Jordan. (Due to unforseen circumstances Christopher Williams will no longer make his scheduled special guest appearance.) When this play first opened at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, New Jersey (SOPAC) on October 31, 2008, many people did not know what to expect of this production. The show played to a nearly sold out audience and was received with zealous enthusiasm. With limited, yet creative, marketing, the Producer/Writer/Director, Sheba Jordan along with the cast and crew, was able to attract hundreds of people to the one-day event that took place on Halloween, one of the most popular nights of the year. On Mother's Day, May 10, 2009 Sheba produced another performance of
"I Know I'm Somebody! Actor JD Williams guest starred in the role of "George." Hundreds of people came to see this performance. JD returns to this amazing production as "George" and promises to deliver a riveting performance. The show is a meandered combination of brilliant comedy, music, drama, love, and hope. Notorious Casting Director Wendy McKenzie hailed it as "...a great show. I was captivated." Actor JD Williams from the critically acclaimed HBO hit series The Wire said, "It keeps your interest. It's funny but the message isn't lost. It's just a good play." | About Sheba Jordan Sheba Jordan took an early interest in theatre, performing arts, staging performances for guests with her siblings in their living room. Even at the early age of 16 audiences loved watching her and she accumulated a huge following. She is the original host for the Jersey Soul Open Mic Jam Session at the Key Club in Newark, NJ. Her charisma onstage attracted a massive clientele to the venue. Along with her natural knack for live entertainment, Sheba took a spirited interest in writing. In 2005 Rychew Publishers launched their Black Heritage Mugs featuring an affirmation written by Sheba. In February 2007 her book Words in the Key of Life: Designed to Inspire Greatness was released and has since helped thousands of people in their pursuit of emotional contentment, 10% of the book's proceeds is donated to the American Cancer Society. Sheba chose this charity to honor the life of her best friend Gwendolyn Reese who died of breast cancer on March 19, 2005. Sheba has a true passion for theatre arts and she is dedicated to bringing her talent for writing, producing and directing to a broad audience in an effort to bring her visions to life while affecting the lives of all who experience a "Sheba Jordan" Production. About JD Williams JD Williams was born in Newark, New Jersey where he attended Arts High School. He is a renowned actor with starring roles in the HBO television programs Oz and The Wire under his belt. He appeared as Preston "Bodie" Broadus in the first four seasons of The Wire. He played inmate Kenny Wrangler for the first four seasons of Oz. He had a guest starring role in the Sopranos as Special K. He has also had leading roles and cameo appearances in a number of R&B and hip-hop music videos. |

Notorious B.I.G. Film Star - Jamal Woolard aka “Gravy” To Join Sheba Jordan In a One Night Only performance At "A Night of Stars" in New Jersey’s Key Club
On Friday October 22, 2010 at the Key Club in Newark, NJ an All-Star Showcase/Open Mic event takes place. This is the first of what will be an exciting and star packed monthly event featuring up and coming artists as well as various celebrity guest performances. This month’s showcase will feature a one-night only appearance by the NOTORIOUS B.I.G. Film Star and Rapper, Jamal Woolard aka “Gravy” who played the role of Biggie Smalls in 2009 life and death story of Notorious B.I.G. (a.k.a. Christopher Wallace) during a tribute to Mary J. Blige by Sheba Jordan, Author, Writer, Producer, Director, Singer and the event’s producer. Don't miss the debut of this phenomenal event which will feature a tribute to 3 of the world’s greatest female vocalists; Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan and Mary J. Blige. This event will also highlight and promote the talent of some amazing independent artists.
This showcase will be full of surprises including: Live Entertainment, Invited Celebrity Guests, an open mic, and FREE Buffet. Background vocals will be performed by the talented students from Arts High School and West Side High. Sheba Jordan has included these young talented individuals as an effort to help them develop their singing skills. Sheba is giving them exposure and experience to encourage and inspire them to work toward their goals of becoming entertainers.

MIC IT UP & SHEBA JORDAN JOIN MILLIONS ACROSS THE WORLD
COMMEMORATING WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
Newark, NJ – In celebration of National Women’s History month The Newark Public Schools Mic It Up Club will host a performance of Sheba Jordan’s I Know I’m Somebody! performed by students from Arts, American History, Central, West Side, Technology, and Barringer High Schools Friday, March 26, 2010 – 7:00PM at the club’s theatre located at 230 Broadway. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served and catered by Celebrities Choice Catering.
Writer, Director and Producer Sheba Jordan said, “This is a great opportunity for Newark’s students. Many of them have always wanted to act but never had the opportunity until now. It was a great joy working with and coaching them. The audience is going to be blown away.”
Sha-Asia Jones-16 of Barringer High School said, “I went through a lot to prepare for this part. I watched movies about abuse and interviewed people.” Sha-Asia plays “Karen,” one of the main characters in a dead-end relationship.
